Edmund Epps was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edmund Epps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Oleary, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the game, Newport Park's Jean Oleary nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmund Epps made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a rather tough play, McLennan FC's Kermit Lemaître got a free kick in the 9th minute. Andy Sexton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Edmund Epps skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Clarence Croquetaigne's late challenge caught a Newport Park's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clarence Croquetaigne helped the player get up and apologised. Clarence Croquetaigne hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Andy Sexton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. McLennan FC's Edmund Epps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Beaupré in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Jean Oleary shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Epps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmund Epps came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Newport Park's Andy Sexton. But to his dismay, Andy Sexton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Edmund Epps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Oleary in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes McLennan FC got a freekick which was hit by Clarence Croquetaigne. Andy Sexton took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmund Epps. Edmund Epps dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 40th minute Jean Oleary shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Epps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match, Andy Sexton got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edmund Epps was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. McLennan FC's Edmund Epps proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save McLennan FC from getting a goal against them. Jean Oleary blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmund Epps having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eric Busque to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Andy Sexton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmund Epps. Jean Oleary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Epps having to interfere. McLennan FC's Edmund Epps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Sexton in the 84th minute of play. In the 93rd minute George McClelland suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Newport Park had played much better football throughout.
