The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Canada United defense, Alonzo Rowley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mitchell Huston. The Canada United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mitchell Huston should have stopped the shot. Lamar Tardif's late challenge caught a Canada United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lamar Tardif helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Watson's Lamar Tardif got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jose Becker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Glover went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Leland Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leland Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Huston having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonzo Rowley in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mitchell Huston saved Canada United from getting behind. After 26 played minutes Canada United got a freekick which was hit by Tom Oliver. After 27 played minutes, Watson's Colombain Romano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mitchell Huston came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Watson reached it. Mitchell Huston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Rowley, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Leland Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Watson's supporters rose to their feet, but Leland Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitchell Huston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alonzo Rowley scored 1-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mitchell Huston, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute Leland Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Huston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tracy Wiggins's late challenge caught a Watson's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tracy Wiggins kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Canada United's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Rowley came free, but Mitchell Huston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilbert Dill to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Alonzo Rowley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Huston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leland Guerra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Mitchell Huston when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leland Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Canada United's zone, Leland Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitchell Huston came out of the goal and Leland Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leland Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Huston having to interfere. If Leland Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Watson's Alonzo Rowley got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mitchell Huston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Rowley in the 79th minute of the match. If Alonzo Rowley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Canada United's Mitchell Huston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Canada United from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Rowley in the 91st minute of play forced Canada United's goalkeeper Mitchell Huston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Canada United's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Rowley came free, but Mitchell Huston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Watson left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Canada United.
