The supporters of Watson booed when Newport Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omer Valentin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 minutes of play, Watson's Marc Davignon made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George McClelland hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Alonzo Rowley kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Newport Park's zone, Alonzo Rowley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Biggs came out of the goal and Alonzo Rowley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Newport Park were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
