When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kareem Farr made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bobby Welsh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monarch Park FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Cameron Grossman fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Connaught's protests and gave Cameron Grossman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Connaught's Cameron Grossman got a free kick in the 56th minute. Ed Farrar might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efrain Veilleux. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ed Farrar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute, Kareem Farr fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Efrain Veilleux, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ed Farrar in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efrain Veilleux saved Connaught from getting behind. Phillip Bradshaw charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phillip Bradshaw the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Phillip Bradshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. A hard shot by Herman Alley from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Efrain Veilleux's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 79 played minutes, Connaught's Ellsworth FresneFrêne shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Broderick Hoffman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Connaught reached it. Jules Dewitt kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 88 minutes of play, Connaught's Bryce Baum made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Broderick Hoffman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Connaught's Cameron Grossman got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Connaught had won after a very even match.
