Vernon Medley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Marcel Trimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Trimble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vernon Medley, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Clint Gipson hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Marcel Trimble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Richards, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 33 minutes into the game, Atherley AFC's Vernon Medley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Trimble made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Aylesford AFC's Duncan Puckett got a free kick in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Atherley AFC's Chas Presley got control of the ball when Victor Major tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match, Duncan Puckett tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chas Presley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duncan Puckett made a kick off. Bruno Jewell kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Vernon Medley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Marcel Trimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sam Richards who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Marcel Trimble when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 70 minutes into the game, Jan Norris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aylesford AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atherley AFC the free kick. The supporters of Atherley AFC booed when Aylesford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Norris didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Brant Givens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute Vernon Medley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Trimble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Aylesford AFC's goalkeeper Marcel Trimble, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruno Jewell kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Kermit Guibord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clint Gipson charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clint Gipson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Aylesford AFC's Clint Gipson got a free kick in the 90th minute. Marcel Trimble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vernon Medley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Sloan might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Trimble. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aylesford AFC's Marcel Trimble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vernon Medley in the 96th minute of play.
