Seating: 1380, VIP seats: 120) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Israel Dunham kicked off to start the match. If Warren Fry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Thomas hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Shirley Glover's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Gardner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Warren Fry cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alberto Gardner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Shirley Glover received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Alberto Gardner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Fry in the 16th minute of play forced Derval FC's goalkeeper Alberto Gardner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Warren Fry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Gardner having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Derval FC's zone, Warren Fry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Gardner came out of the goal and Warren Fry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tobias Chaussée kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Montreal Unionists's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Dunham came free, but Alvin Whittington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Warren Fry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Gardner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Chaussée's late challenge caught a Derval FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Chaussée helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Tobias Chaussée hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Warren Fry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montreal Unionists's supporters rose to their feet, but Warren Fry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Gardner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorian Brodeur struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Alberto Gardner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montreal Unionists. Derval FC's Alberto Gardner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Fry in the 38th minute of play. Augustus Wilcox hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Alberto Gardner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keenan Cartwright went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Warren Fry made a kick off. Rémi Beauchamps kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Augustus Wilcox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvin Whittington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Derval FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustus Wilcox to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes in the game, Pete Mailly fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alberto Gardner having to interfere. After 63 minutes of play, Montreal Unionists's Warren Fry made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Gardner was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Warren Fry came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Montreal Unionists fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Fry couldn't finish the play. Montreal Unionists were furious when Keenan Cartwright was red carded, 72 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 71st minute, one of Montreal Unionists:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montreal Unionists. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Warren Fry during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Warren Fry hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Shirley Glover fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Gardner having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Dorian Brodeur fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alberto Gardner, passed just outside the right post. When Shirley Glover came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Montreal Unionists fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shirley Glover couldn't finish the play. Montreal Unionists's Warren Fry got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Montreal Unionists left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Derval FC.
