Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Claudio Queen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Percy Stafford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Alberto Gardner made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Derval FC's Bryant Wang got a free kick in the 8th minute. Peter Chaussée showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Dunham, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 15 minutes, Humbert Temple mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cupar and the Derval FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Derval FC booed when Cupar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humbert Temple didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Alberto Gardner managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Cupar's Percy Stafford fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Queen in the 22nd minute of play forced Derval FC's goalkeeper Alberto Gardner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emon Flanagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Peter Chaussée tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Percy Stafford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cupar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Stafford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Derval FC's Emon Flanagan got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Claudio Queen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Queen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Gardner having to make a save. Percy Stafford struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alberto Gardner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cupar. Cupar's Percy Stafford was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 46th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Israel Dunham to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberto Gardner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Queen, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Derval FC's Alberto Gardner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Stafford in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Derval FC's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Stafford came free, but Alberto Gardner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percy Stafford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Claudio Queen made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Gardner. Derval FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Percy Stafford took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Gardner. Alberto Gardner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Alberto Gardner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Queen in the 87th minute of the match. Claudio Queen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
