In the 15thth minute of the game Leif Brady who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cordoba City's Hugo Talon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Cordoba City's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Brady came free, but Hugo Talon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leif Brady had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Talon came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by MancityBlues's Granville Haines. But to his dismay, Granville Haines quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ellsworth Langelier managed to get in a good position for a shot. MancityBlues's supporters rose to their feet, but Ellsworth Langelier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Talon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Granville Haines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Talon having to interfere. Hugo Talon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Granville Haines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the MancityBlues defense, Rémi Gousse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carrol Villalobos. The MancityBlues fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carrol Villalobos should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cordoba City could leave the field as winners, despite MancityBlues having more of the ball for most of the match.
