Rüştü Rencber made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Hunter Dennison sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, Rudolph Norman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Thornbury's Rüştü Rencber. Rüştü Rencber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rüştü Rencber was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Glenn Westbrook showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. Thornbury's Rüştü Rencber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolph Norman in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Howard Friedman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rüştü Rencber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thornbury's Rüştü Rencber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Westbrook in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Howard Friedman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rüştü Rencber. Howard Friedman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. 45 minutes into the match, Hunter Dennison dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rüştü Rencber, 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Howard Friedman was the one to do the kick off. Rüştü Rencber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hunter Dennison in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Glenn Westbrook left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whitehead AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Thornbury's Rüştü Rencber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Westbrook in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolph Norman in the 59th minute of play forced Thornbury's goalkeeper Rüştü Rencber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rüştü Rencber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolph Norman in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Glenn Westbrook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rüştü Rencber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Rudolph Norman made a precise shot to the right of Rüştü Rencber. Thornbury's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 70th minute Glenn Westbrook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rüştü Rencber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Westbrook in the 71st minute of play forced Thornbury's goalkeeper Rüştü Rencber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Thornbury booed when Whitehead AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Westbrook didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hong McMullen's late challenge caught a Whitehead AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hong McMullen helped the player get up and apologised. Hong McMullen kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Whitehead AFC's Rudolph Norman got a free kick in the 78th minute. Thornbury's Alwin Kik got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rudolph Norman took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rüştü Rencber. Rüştü Rencber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. Rüştü Rencber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolph Norman in the 90th minute of the match.
