Hugo Talon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, Noah Ham dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rüştü Rencber, 1-1. In the 21stth minute of the game Numan Yetkiner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cordoba City's Hugo Talon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 played minutes Thornbury got a freekick which was hit by Numan Yetkiner. Hong McMullen's late challenge caught a Cordoba City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hong McMullen helped the player get up and apologised. Hong McMullen hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Rüştü Rencber was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernesto Judd showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 45 minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Numan Yetkiner was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Thornbury getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rainer Alexis hit a great ball. Zacarias Fe fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 57th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Numan Yetkiner might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Talon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Numan Yetkiner ran back to his position shaking his head. Numan Yetkiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hugo Talon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rüştü Rencber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Judd in the 66th minute of play. With 67 minutes on the clock, Zacarias Fe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 68 played minutes Thornbury got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Fe. 69 minutes into the match, Cordoba City's Arturo Sands broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mugurel Grigoriu's late challenge caught a Cordoba City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mugurel Grigoriu helped the player get up and apologised. After 85 played minutes Thornbury got a freekick which was hit by Mugurel Grigoriu. If Hong McMullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cordoba City were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Thornbury for a fine match.
