Jerold Dick lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Portugal FC! When Ollie Stahl came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Portugal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ollie Stahl couldn't finish the play. Arlen Léveillé could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Gordon Dean made a huge save. Portugal FC's William Begin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathon Roche in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Seymour Giroux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portugal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sayabec the free kick. In the 28th minute, Seymour Giroux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sayabec's Johnathon Roche couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Portugal FC. Ollie Stahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Portugal FC's Dorsey Landis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. William Begin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolphe Tipton in the 37th minute of play. When Dorsey Landis fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portugal FC's protests and gave Dorsey Landis a yellow card for diving instead. Dorsey Landis hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Clyde Smith charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clyde Smith the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Portugal FC made a substitution. Jared Connelly replaced Leonel Nadeau. A collision led to Sayabec getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Clyde Smith hit a great ball. In the 44th minute Clyde Smith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Begin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Sayabec's Clyde Smith nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. William Begin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After a rather tough play, Sayabec's Randy Lessard got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Ambroise Winters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Gordon Dean was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adolphe Tipton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. William Begin came out and tried to block the shot, but Adolphe Tipton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 66th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Portugal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolphe Tipton came free, but William Begin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Begin was a little too slow when Adolphe Tipton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-5. The Sayabec supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sayabec would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
