Spectators: 7983 (Terracing: 5988, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jeromy Bishop started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Yellow Jackets FC's Sergio Donaldson got a free kick in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Royal Perrault sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Kevin Hurt threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Royal Perrault this time. Myron Mendez came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Yellow Jackets FC's Sergio Donaldson. But to his dismay, Sergio Donaldson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kevin Hurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Peralta in the 18th minute of play. Troy Brandt struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Myron Mendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yellow Jackets FC. If Joachim Peralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kevin Hurt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Peralta, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yellow Jackets FC's zone, Lon Dupéré stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Hurt came out of the goal and Lon Dupéré tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lon Dupéré could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Kevin Hurt made a huge save. Jeromy Bishop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Troy Brandt came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Yellow Jackets FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Troy Brandt couldn't finish the play. Jeromy Bishop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Myron Mendez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After 48 minutes, Trevor Andrews mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yellow Jackets FC and the Tlell players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Yellow Jackets FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trevor Andrews to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joachim Peralta to make the kick off. Troy Brandt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yellow Jackets FC's Kevin Hurt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lon Dupéré in the 60th minute of play. Lon Dupéré fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Hurt having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Jeromy Bishop managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yellow Jackets FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeromy Bishop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Myron Mendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tlell's Myron Mendez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Tlell from getting a goal against them. Kevin Hurt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lon Dupéré, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Yellow Jackets FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Peralta came free, but Kevin Hurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
