Redstone's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Albany AFC the free kick. In the 10th minute, Thomas Esquivel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 17 minutes, Barton McCall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redstone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barton McCall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Barton McCall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Frederic Jimenez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albany AFC's Toney McAllister pulled a muscle in his leg after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Redstone getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Isiah Dupont hit a great ball. Robert Fluet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reed Shaffer. Redstone's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Renard Key's late challenge caught a Albany AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renard Key helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Redstone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renard Key to maneuver through the defense. Albany AFC's Humberto Herman got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barton McCall in the 36th minute of play forced Albany AFC's goalkeeper Frederic Jimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Gates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Frederic Jimenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barton McCall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Gates scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederic Jimenez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the game, Gaétan Cyr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Humberto Herman made the kick off in the second half. A long shot from Mohammad Dowdy in the 52nd minute of play was well struck, but Frederic Jimenez made a really good save at the right post. After a rather tough play, Albany AFC's Robert Fluet got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute of the match Redstone got a corner. Albany AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johnathan Meier ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 60th minute Barton McCall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederic Jimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joël John fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albany AFC's protests and gave Joël John a yellow card for diving instead. Frederic Jimenez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Johnathan Meier. Lino Gates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederic Jimenez having to interfere. Lino Gates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederic Jimenez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Gates went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Redstone's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
