Vespasien Jeffers charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vespasien Jeffers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. River-Lions FC's Austin Charles got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeromy Bishop in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudolf Prescott saved River-Lions FC from getting behind. After having played for 32 minutes, Renato Despins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River-Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Despins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes Maurice Dykes rounded Yellow Jackets FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Klein during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, River-Lions FC's Mario Klein got a free kick in the 39th minute. Austin Charles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Hurt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. When Jeromy Bishop came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Yellow Jackets FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeromy Bishop couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeromy Bishop to make the kick off. If Troy Brandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudolf Prescott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeromy Bishop in the 54th minute of play. River-Lions FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. River-Lions FC's Rudolf Prescott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save River-Lions FC from getting a goal against them. Austin Charles hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Yellow Jackets FC's Troy Brandt came free and shot a quick shot against goal 76 minutes in the game, fortunately Rudolf Prescott had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 77 minutes in the game, Jeromy Bishop fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rudolf Prescott having to interfere. Jeromy Bishop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudolf Prescott read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Troy Brandt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Prescott having to interfere. Troy Brandt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Hurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Dykes in the 95th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergio Donaldson during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Maurice Dykes came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the River-Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Dykes couldn't finish the play. River-Lions FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Yellow Jackets FC for a fine match.
