With a little luck, Arnot's Auguste Couture got control of the ball when Odell Atkinson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Odell Atkinson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Auguste Couture to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the match, Yarker's Donny Worthington sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Auguste Couture narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnot's Auguste Couture proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Arnot from getting a goal against them. Odell Atkinson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Auguste Couture when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Auguste Couture made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odell Atkinson in the 34th minute. The referee ignored Yarker's protests and gave Javier Eckert a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Javier Eckert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Louis Graham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yarker's Luc Minton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Graham in the 55th minute of play.
