Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Waterloo Warriors. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes in the game, Christophe Blanton fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Keneth Dufure having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Waterloo Warriors's Rodger Léveillé ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Keneth Dufure. Keneth Dufure yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The supporters of Impact booed when Waterloo Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trevor Poisson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Christophe Blanton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Impact's Keneth Dufure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christophe Blanton in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Christophe Blanton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute Christophe Blanton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keneth Dufure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Impact's Micah Nickerson got a free kick in the 95th minute.
