Griswold's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Exstew FC the free kick. The supporters of Exstew FC booed when Griswold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Duran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th match minute, Griswold was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jed Vincent to maneuver through the defense. Simon Crête took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurice Torrez. Griswold's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Exstew FC's Lanny Willett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Exstew FC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Leo Desaulniers made a precise shot to the right of Lanny Willett. Exstew FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Omer Avila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omer Avila kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Maurice Torrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perceval Carmichael, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Lanny Willett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omer Avila went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Omer Avila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lanny Willett was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Exstew FC's Maurice Torrez threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Perceval Carmichael, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lanny Willett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Desaulniers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juste Chartier got free with Maurice Torrez in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Griswold had played much better football throughout.
