An unexpectedly hard shot by Lyle Marrero in the 6th minute of play forced The Iceberg's goalkeeper Napoleon Segura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Marco Shelton notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Iceberg's Napoleon Segura. Napoleon Segura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Napoleon Segura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lyle Marrero in the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Arlen Gaillard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Segura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Lessard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Rolando Courtois made a huge save. Napoleon Segura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlen Gaillard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Titus Bell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Napoleon Segura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lyle Marrero went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in South China United's zone, Alexander Lessard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Courtois came out of the goal and Alexander Lessard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexander Lessard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Titus Bell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Courtois having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rolando Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Titus Bell in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Lyle Marrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th match minute, South China United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lyle Marrero to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to South China United getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Marco Shelton hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, South China United's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Lessard came free, but Rolando Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Titus Bell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Rolando Courtois was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Napoleon Segura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Shelton in the 74th minute. Alexander Lessard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Titus Bell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Lessard, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 91 minutes of play, The Iceberg's Alexander Lessard made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Courtois was left in no man's land by his defense there! South China United were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over The Iceberg's much stronger midfield.
