Spectators: 6834 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Horace Mainville started the match with the kick off. Jonas Peacock hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th match minute, Talmage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milan Bruneau to maneuver through the defense. Horace Mainville's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilario Trottier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. If Donald Lin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Warner Loiseau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicodème Cortes having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ceylon AFC! When Talmage's Ricardo Merrill in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ceylon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Nicodème Cortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Lin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes in the game, Warner Loiseau dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Warner Loiseau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talmage's supporters rose to their feet, but Warner Loiseau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicodème Cortes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th match minute, Ceylon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Epperson to maneuver through the defense. 49 minutes into the match, Warner Loiseau notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ceylon AFC's Nicodème Cortes. Nicodème Cortes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 54 played minutes Talmage got a freekick which was hit by Milan Bruneau. Hilario Trottier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Foster McNally in the 55th minute of play. Tyler Herring did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Nicodème Cortes 63 minutes into the match. Hilario Trottier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horace Mainville, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Nicodème Cortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warner Loiseau in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ceylon AFC's zone, Donald Lin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicodème Cortes came out of the goal and Donald Lin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 75th minute, but Nicodème Cortes got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Ceylon AFC hanging dry this time. The supporters of Talmage booed when Ceylon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Epperson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Talmage's Donald Lin got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Talmage's Warner Loiseau ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicodème Cortes. Nicodème Cortes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warner Loiseau in the 86th minute of play forced Ceylon AFC's goalkeeper Nicodème Cortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Warner Loiseau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, Warner Loiseau recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicodème Cortes. Warner Loiseau showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 97th minute, Frank Kraft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Talmage's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
