After having played for 7 minutes, Gérard Poisson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ppte Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gérard Poisson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Georges Wilder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timmy Currie went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Blainville Raptors's Jacques Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Ragland in the 21st minute of play. Gérard Poisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacques Gallo having to interfere. Ppte Academy's Georges Wilder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heath Simard in the 30th minute of play. Gérard Poisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacques Gallo having to interfere. Jacques Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Todd in the 36th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Heath Simard to strike the kick off in the second half. Timmy Currie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Wilder having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Kim Brewer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gérard Poisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacques Gallo having to interfere. Gérard Poisson might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacques Gallo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gérard Poisson ran back to his position shaking his head. Timmy Currie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Georges Wilder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Heath Simard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gérard Poisson's late challenge caught a Blainville Raptors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gérard Poisson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ppte Academy getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gérard Poisson hit a great ball. The Blainville Raptors players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
