Brendan Golden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irving McAllister having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Danny Haywood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Actinolite booed when Jamestown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoper Delong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danny Haywood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irving McAllister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Marks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Abel Gallardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jamestown AFC and the Actinolite players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Actinolite booed when Jamestown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Gallardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Jamestown AFC's Michal Robertson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horace Kent narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Actinolite's zone, Abel Gallardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horace Kent came out of the goal and Abel Gallardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Michal Robertson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Brendan Golden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Actinolite's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brendan Golden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Actinolite getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Vincenzo Duranseau hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michal Robertson to make the kick off. When Patrick Davenport fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamestown AFC's protests and gave Patrick Davenport a yellow card for diving instead. 52 minutes into the game, one of Jamestown AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Actinolite. Vincenzo Duranseau stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Irving McAllister. 1-0. Michal Robertson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horace Kent having to interfere. Michal Robertson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ray Ziegler might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horace Kent. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ray Ziegler ran back to his position shaking his head. Brendan Golden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irving McAllister read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Jamestown AFC booed when Actinolite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleveland Hanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irving McAllister breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irving McAllister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendan Golden, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
