Adolph Titus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irving McAllister having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Jamestown AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Gallardo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolph Titus in the 46th minute of play forced Jamestown AFC's goalkeeper Irving McAllister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Christoper Delong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harvey Edmonds. Guoan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christoper Delong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 65th minute Christoper Delong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Edmonds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guoan's Adolph Titus got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Guoan's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Robertson came free, but Harvey Edmonds reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Christoper Delong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Edmonds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
