Yankees's Brady Lester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chang Vick in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Raymundo Robbins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Chalifour. Colliers AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raymundo Robbins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Patrice Barney's late challenge caught a Yankees's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrice Barney helped the player get up and apologised. André Chalifour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymundo Robbins, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Loren Steele hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of Yankees booed when Colliers AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Zamora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chang Vick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Solomon Jacques to strike the kick off in the second half. Raymundo Robbins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Gerard Petit left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yankees fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Raymundo Robbins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th match minute, Colliers AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Solomon Jacques to maneuver through the defense. André Chalifour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymundo Robbins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Colliers AFC's Chang Vick ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brady Lester. Brady Lester yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymundo Robbins in the 83rd minute of play forced Colliers AFC's goalkeeper André Chalifour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chang Vick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the game, Roy Acosta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yankees's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colliers AFC the free kick.
