When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Oliver Womack put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jerrod Overton. Picton AFC's Jerrod Overton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Womack in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Felton Fitzpatrick made a precise shot to the right of Oliver Harmon. New York Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felton Fitzpatrick made a kick off. Jerrod Overton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawerence Aguilera in the 57th minute of play. Felton Fitzpatrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oliver Harmon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Jerrod Overton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deon Robbins in the 62nd minute of the match. Darell Lord charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
