Hilton Grant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gene Mott went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With an all-out effort, Milltown's Hilton Grant threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gene Mott, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Jeff Lackey fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Champlain's protests and gave Jeff Lackey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, Champlain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Lackey to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Mathew Rivers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milltown's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathew Rivers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilton Grant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gene Mott got free with Hilton Grant in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Milltown's Gene Mott sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilton Grant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Haywood Favreau charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haywood Favreau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Haywood Favreau kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Champlain's Harley Putnam broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Milltown's Rashad Hatch got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rashad Hatch to strike the kick off in the second half. Mathew Rivers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilton Grant having to interfere. Marin Coon hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Harley Putnam from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Modestine Mosley's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Rashad Hatch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes of play, Milltown's Colombe Goodman made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilton Grant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gene Mott managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 78th minute, Gene Mott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Champlain's goal looked a bit too open when Rashad Hatch came free, but Hilton Grant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jefferey Grandpré had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferey Grandpré fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilton Grant having to interfere.
