In the 8th minute Oliver Womack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyree Dent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Deon Robbins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Womack might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tyree Dent. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliver Womack ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute, Sherwood Paimboeuf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Oliver Womack took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tyree Dent to make any attempt to save it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdinand Ferland to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sherwood Paimboeuf got free with Oliver Harmon in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tyree Dent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Womack in the 60th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Quetico got a freekick which was hit by Gary Crocker. Oliver Womack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, New York Stars's Oliver Womack got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69thth minute of the game Ferdinand Ferland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New York Stars's Oliver Harmon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the game, New York Stars's Deon Robbins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tyree Dent made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ferdinand Ferland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Harmon having to interfere. When Oliver Womack came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the New York Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Womack couldn't finish the play. Jordon Rochon's late challenge caught a New York Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Quetico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tyree Dent should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 88 in the game by Sherwood Paimboeuf from a close distance when the talented Oliver Harmon managed to make a qualified save. New York Stars's players were relieved. Tyree Dent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Womack, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
