When Elton Woody came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the ATOMIC Ducky Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elton Woody couldn't finish the play. When Lesley Felton fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ATOMIC Ducky Club's protests and gave Lesley Felton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Lesley Felton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean McLean came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by ATOMIC Ducky Club's Elton Woody. But to his dismay, Elton Woody quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Yong Mothé's late challenge caught a ATOMIC Ducky Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yong Mothé helped the player get up and apologised. Randal Beaujolie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 played minutes Randal Beaujolie rounded FC Trois-Rivières's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. After some careless play in the ATOMIC Ducky Club defense, Kurtis Norbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renaldo Thomas. The ATOMIC Ducky Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renaldo Thomas should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as FC Trois-Rivières's Jimmy Grandpré slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Renaldo Thomas. That made the score 2-2 after 53 minutes of play. ATOMIC Ducky Club's Randal Beaujolie got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Max Hutchins took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jean McLean. FC Trois-Rivières's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 64th match minute, ATOMIC Ducky Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nigel Langford to maneuver through the defense. If Elton Woody had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean McLean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elton Woody in the 72nd minute of play. Elton Woody blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jean McLean having to make a save. ATOMIC Ducky Club's Elton Woody got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Trois-Rivières's Jean McLean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randal Beaujolie in the 88th minute of play. Jean McLean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randal Beaujolie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, ATOMIC Ducky Club's Max Hutchins broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 98th minute, Elton Woody made a precise shot to the right of Jean McLean. FC Trois-Rivières's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ATOMIC Ducky Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Trois-Rivières had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
