Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nestor Trotter made the kick off and thus started the match. Barton Lécuyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Anaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 minutes Pipun's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dillon Huggins who took care of the corner kick. In the 8th match minute, Lav Zivotinja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Gadbois to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Darrell Overton put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Barton Lécuyer. In the 16th minute, Darrell Overton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lav Zivotinja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Pipun's zone, Darrell Overton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barton Lécuyer came out of the goal and Darrell Overton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darrell Overton in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barton Lécuyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hoyt Herron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barton Lécuyer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pipun's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dillon Huggins was slow to take the kick. During this time Lav Zivotinja's players had a chance to rest. Dillon Huggins made a great header on Lav Zivotinja's corner, it was just that Pipun's Barton Lécuyer managed to reach the ball for a save. Hoyt Herron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Darrell Overton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barton Lécuyer. Pipun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darrell Overton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Darrell Overton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Barton Lécuyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Darrell Overton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barton Lécuyer. Pipun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darrell Overton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Pipun's zone, Scotty Grady stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barton Lécuyer came out of the goal and Scotty Grady tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel Anaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Barton Lécuyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, Lav Zivotinja's Darrell Overton made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barton Lécuyer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The crowd rose to their feet as Lav Zivotinja's Darrell Overton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Barton Lécuyer. That made the score 0-7 after 53 minutes of play. Barton Lécuyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darrell Overton in the 56th minute of play. Darrell Overton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sanford Dorsey hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lav Zivotinja getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Herbert Lilly hit a great ball. Johnathan Holt struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Diego Peter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pipun. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoyt Herron in the 82nd minute of play forced Pipun's goalkeeper Barton Lécuyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lav Zivotinja were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Pipun's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dillon Huggins took the corner. Lav Zivotinja's Hoyt Herron was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Barton Lécuyer in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Michel Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
