Spectators: 8544 (Terracing: 6409, Seating: 1965, VIP seats: 170) L.A. Galaxy's Boniface Doiron started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of L.A. Galaxy booed when Ceylon AF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hong McLaughlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Graham Spangler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trinidad Delacruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, L.A. Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Vespasien Kiser came free, but Graham Spangler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Trinidad Delacruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Graham Spangler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Boniface Doiron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Herman Healy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Graham Spangler came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Ceylon AF's Fidel Cadieux. But to his dismay, Fidel Cadieux quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Boniface Doiron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Graham Spangler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vespasien Kiser, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vespasien Kiser to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Boniface Doiron made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ceylon AF's Herman Healy tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute Vincenzo Presley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Healy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 played minutes Ceylon AF got a freekick which was hit by Trinidad Delacruz. 73 minutes into the match, Fidel Cadieux had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Graham Spangler. L.A. Galaxy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidel Cadieux was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Graham Spangler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fidel Cadieux in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Vespasien Kiser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ceylon AF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave L.A. Galaxy the free kick. Graham Spangler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hong McLaughlin in the 82nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Trinidad Delacruz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Graham Spangler. That made the score 1-5 in the 85 minute of play. L.A. Galaxy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Fidel Cadieux scored to the left of an out of position Graham Spangler, making the score, 1-6.
