Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Josue Hood made the kick off which started today's match. Sébastien McCauley made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Marion Woody sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th minute, Ottawa Fury FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marion Woody fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ariel Ruth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josue Hood, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marion Woody during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes MacKay AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marion Woody. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Cantrell in the 18th minute of play forced Ottawa Fury FC's goalkeeper Sébastien McCauley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sébastien McCauley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duane Burnham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes, Marion Woody made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ottawa Fury FC's Sébastien McCauley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Josue Hood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josue Hood in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Ruth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gail Jimenez during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian Cantrell to make the kick off. When Duane Burnham came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the MacKay AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duane Burnham couldn't finish the play. After 57 played minutes MacKay AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ian Cantrell. 2-1 became the score in the 63rd minute when Marion Woody elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a little luck, MacKay AFC's Ariel Ruth got control of the ball when Lou Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 played minutes MacKay AFC got a freekick which was hit by Duane Burnham. In the 72nd minute, Marion Woody ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sébastien McCauley was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 77th minute, Marion Woody made a precise shot to the right of Sébastien McCauley. Ottawa Fury FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Cantrell during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to MacKay AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ian Cantrell hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Ottawa Fury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Cantrell came free, but Sébastien McCauley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Duane Burnham managed to get in a good position for a shot. MacKay AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Duane Burnham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sébastien McCauley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Ian Cantrell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sébastien McCauley. Ottawa Fury FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ian Cantrell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marion Woody in the 94th minute of play forced Ottawa Fury FC's goalkeeper Sébastien McCauley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bud Walls took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sébastien McCauley. Sébastien McCauley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MacKay AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ottawa Fury FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
