If Neil Moquin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Neil Moquin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Jays SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Neil Moquin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Graham Spangler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. L.A. Galaxy's Boniface Doiron got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dexter Duke acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vincenzo Presley. If Boniface Doiron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th play minute Boniface Doiron came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dexter Duke. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Blue Jays SC's zone, Boniface Doiron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dexter Duke came out of the goal and Boniface Doiron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of L.A. Galaxy booed when Blue Jays SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hercule Redd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dexter Duke came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by L.A. Galaxy's Boniface Doiron. But to his dismay, Boniface Doiron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 43 minutes, Waldo Shelton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the L.A. Galaxy and the Blue Jays SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Blue Jays SC booed when L.A. Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldo Shelton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Blue Jays SC's Clair Hayes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Graham Spangler narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clair Hayes made a kick off. Dexter Duke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boniface Doiron in the 52nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Clair Hayes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clair Hayes in the 73rd minute of play forced L.A. Galaxy's goalkeeper Graham Spangler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dexter Duke came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by L.A. Galaxy's Boniface Doiron. But to his dismay, Boniface Doiron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clair Hayes in the 84th minute of play forced L.A. Galaxy's goalkeeper Graham Spangler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Lunsford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dexter Duke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. L.A. Galaxy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
