An unexpectedly hard shot by Vespasien Kiser in the 3rd minute of play forced Vauquelin CN's goalkeeper Lou Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Granville Askew's late challenge caught a Ceylon AF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Granville Askew helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Vauquelin CN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Granville Askew to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Justin Course managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceylon AF's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Course was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lou Bergman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fidel Cadieux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Ceylon AF's Vespasien Kiser in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vauquelin CN's goalie prevented a goal. In the 10th minute Fredric Lebel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Healy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Justin Course managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceylon AF's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Course was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lou Bergman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rick Walls hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vespasien Kiser in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lou Bergman saved Vauquelin CN from getting behind. Vespasien Kiser took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lou Bergman. Lou Bergman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dave Santiago kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Mack Holley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 played minutes Ceylon AF got a freekick which was hit by Dave Santiago. Herman Healy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Lebel in the 31st minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Vauquelin CN's goal looked a bit too open when Vespasien Kiser came free, but Lou Bergman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herman Healy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Lebel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Ceylon AF defense, Fredric Lebel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herman Healy. The Ceylon AF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herman Healy should have stopped the shot. After 56 minutes of play, Vauquelin CN's Fredric Lebel made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herman Healy was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vespasien Kiser in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lou Bergman saved Vauquelin CN from getting behind. Lou Bergman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justin Course in the 65th minute. 2-2 became the score in the 72nd minute when Vespasien Kiser elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justin Course got free with Lou Bergman in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Vauquelin CN getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Shannon McKinnon hit a great ball. Justin Course took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lou Bergman. Lou Bergman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Vauquelin CN:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ceylon AF:s goal. When the match had been going on for 99 minutes, Ceylon AF's Vespasien Kiser got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lou Bergman. Ceylon AF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
