Spectators: 8526 (Terracing: 6395, Seating: 1961, VIP seats: 170) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ian Sparks made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Leon Palban notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of MC Guard AFC's Aubrey Lagueux. Aubrey Lagueux was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Trent Salter fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapid's protests and gave Trent Salter a yellow card for diving instead. Trent Salter kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Aubrey Lagueux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Sparks in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Ian Sparks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aubrey Lagueux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MC Guard AFC's Aubrey Lagueux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Palban in the 12th minute of play. After 16 minutes of play, Rapid's Leon Palban made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aubrey Lagueux was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edwin van der Saar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Iancu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Leon Palban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapid's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Palban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aubrey Lagueux breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Plummer kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind MC Guard AFC's goalkeeper Aubrey Lagueux, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Trent Salter got his second yellow card in the match during the 34th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 34 played minutes Rapid got a freekick which was hit by Trent Salter. In the 37th match minute, Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guo Bo Ting to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rapid's George Clayson got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Philip Heller reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edwin van der Saar. The goal made the score 1-3. Ian Sparks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Sparks scored 1-4 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aubrey Lagueux, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Douglas Cortes scored 2-4 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin van der Saar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, Jonas Desjardins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aubrey Lagueux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Kauffman in the 60th minute of play. Edwin van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Iancu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Rudy Kauffman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aubrey Lagueux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Sparks's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aubrey Lagueux firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Rapid getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Leon Palban hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Gabriel Iancu managed to get in a good position for a shot. MC Guard AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Iancu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edwin van der Saar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Desjardins came free, but Edwin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aubrey Lagueux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Sparks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute of the match Philip Heller sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edwin van der Saar skillfully saved the ball. Rudy Kauffman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Aubrey Lagueux skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 77th minute, Patrik Uter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aubrey Lagueux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Kauffman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, George Clayson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Rapid getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Leon Palban hit a great ball. Aubrey Lagueux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Kauffman in the 96th minute of the match. The MC Guard AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rapid were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
