Shawn Brennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Iancu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Gabriel Iancu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shawn Brennan. Matrix Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Iancu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Iancu in the 18th minute of play forced Matrix Fc's goalkeeper Shawn Brennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ismael Frey came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the MC Guard AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Frey couldn't finish the play. Aubrey Lagueux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Raymond in the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute Gabriel Iancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shawn Brennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aubrey Lagueux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Raymond, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to Matrix Fc getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Valéry Therrien hit a great ball. Vern Belanger struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Vern Belanger hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matrix Fc's goalkeeper Shawn Brennan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the last second Shawn Brennan throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gabriel Iancu in the 67thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Shawn Brennan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gabriel Iancu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 79 minute of play. Matrix Fc made a substitution. Marty Durepos replaced Michel McManus. Shawn Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Iancu in the 88th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
