Rakow Czestochowa's Nazaire Klein got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shawn Kline hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Val Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kirk Hirsch struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Josef MacDonald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Halifax Royals. If Val Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef MacDonald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Val Lester in the 21st minute of the match. In the 28th minute Matthieu Mills shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telesphore Anthony saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Halifax Royals's Arturo Hills got a free kick in the 29th minute. Rakow Czestochowa's Isiah Starr shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Telesphore Anthony but with some difficulty. Matthieu Mills sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthieu Mills recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Shawn Kline fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halifax Royals's protests and gave Shawn Kline a yellow card for diving instead. Shawn Kline hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Matthieu Mills might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telesphore Anthony. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthieu Mills ran back to his position shaking his head. Kirk Herrington charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kirk Herrington the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Matthieu Mills's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telesphore Anthony was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matthieu Mills in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telesphore Anthony prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mitchell Cantu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Telesphore Anthony tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matthieu Mills to strike the kick off in the second half. Telesphore Anthony showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthieu Mills in the 53rd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Halifax Royals's goal looked a bit too open when Matthieu Mills came free, but Telesphore Anthony reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirk Hirsch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Josef MacDonald made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Matthieu Mills had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telesphore Anthony. Halifax Royals's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matthieu Mills was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Matthieu Mills fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telesphore Anthony having to interfere. Kirk Hirsch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Matthieu Mills left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rakow Czestochowa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A collision led to Halifax Royals getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ike Chouinard hit a great ball. Rakow Czestochowa's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
