Augustus Combs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Aubrey Lagueux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CS Impact de Montreal's Augustus Combs got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, MC Guard AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Augustus Combs came free, but Aubrey Lagueux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Brian Vela in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CS Impact de Montreal's Josh Glenn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Iancu in the 17th minute of play forced CS Impact de Montreal's goalkeeper Anton Lamothe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MC Guard AFC's Aubrey Lagueux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustus Combs in the 18th minute of play. After 20 minutes, Teddy Andersen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CS Impact de Montreal and the MC Guard AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to CS Impact de Montreal getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Teddy Andersen hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Philip Heller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jonas Desjardins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Lamothe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Iancu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustus Combs in the 33rd minute of play forced MC Guard AFC's goalkeeper Aubrey Lagueux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Lamothe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Iancu in the 35th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Augustus Combs sped through MC Guard AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aubrey Lagueux. In the 42nd minute, Teddy Andersen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Heller struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Anton Lamothe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MC Guard AFC. In the 47th minute, Augustus Combs made a precise shot to the right of Aubrey Lagueux. MC Guard AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Iancu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, MC Guard AFC's Brian Vela got a free kick in the 57th minute. CS Impact de Montreal's Elbert McNally was substituted for Marc Carlson. In the 60th minute Jonas Desjardins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Lamothe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Gabriel Iancu put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Anton Lamothe. After 65 played minutes MC Guard AFC got a freekick which was hit by David Plummer. Gabriel Iancu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Lamothe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, MC Guard AFC's goalkeeper Aubrey Lagueux had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augustus Combs. Aubrey Lagueux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustus Combs, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 86th match minute, CS Impact de Montreal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josh Glenn to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of MC Guard AFC booed when CS Impact de Montreal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh Glenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Desjardins in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Lamothe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, MC Guard AFC's David Plummer got a free kick in the 96th minute. A hard shot by Josh Glenn from long distance, 97 minutes into the match, got Aubrey Lagueux's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Aubrey Lagueux was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Josh Glenn. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see MC Guard AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
