Ira Khan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Roger Mathieu 14 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruel's Ira Khan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Mathieu. That made the score 2-1 after 20 minutes of play. Tuan Ventura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Parmentier in the 25th minute of play. Ira Khan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Mathieu having to interfere. When Ira Khan came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ruel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ira Khan couldn't finish the play. Tuan Ventura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francis Bourque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tuan Ventura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francis Bourque, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Lorenzo Parmentier struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Tuan Ventura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elma.
