In the 8th match minute, Liberty FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Arnold to maneuver through the defense. Armel Lane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lorenzo Parmentier in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Liberty FC's Valentin Lamontagne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Mathieu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Elma's zone, Valentin Lamontagne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Mathieu came out of the goal and Valentin Lamontagne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liberty FC's Michael Hurst managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Elmo Edwards in the 26 minute of the game. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Elma! In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Liberty FC. Quincy Willoughby stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Roger Mathieu. 0-1. Liberty FC's Valentin Lamontagne got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Lorenzo Parmentier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armel Lane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sébastien Bailey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger Mathieu having to make a save. If Valentin Lamontagne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Elma players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Liberty FC were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Lamontagne made a kick off. Jason Westbrook hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Louis Arnold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lorenzo Parmentier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armel Lane having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Hurst during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Dewayne Aldridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sébastien Bailey came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Liberty FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sébastien Bailey couldn't finish the play. Sébastien Bailey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger Mathieu having to make a save. Martin Bowden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Armel Lane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Martin Bowden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armel Lane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armel Lane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Parmentier in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Valentin Lamontagne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liberty FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Lamontagne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Although Elma had been in control for most of the match, Liberty FC still came away with the win.
