Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rodolfo Eleazar took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colby Quinn in the 2nd minute of play forced Toronto United's goalkeeper Kauã Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tuan Ventura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Eleazar in the 4th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Houle during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alexandre Houle hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Ruel's Tuan Ventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elwood Keys in the 8th minute of play. Tuan Ventura came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto United's Rodolfo Eleazar. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Eleazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 17 minutes into the game, Toronto United's Rodolfo Eleazar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tuan Ventura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 21st minute, Lou Walker made a precise shot to the right of Tuan Ventura. Ruel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Rodolfo Eleazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Rodolfo Eleazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Eleazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute, Rodolfo Eleazar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tuan Ventura was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After having played for 37 minutes, Rodolfo Eleazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Eleazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Rodolfo Eleazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toronto United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Ruel's Tuan Ventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Eleazar in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Toronto United were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ira Khan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Toronto United booed when Ruel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Houle didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Elwood Keys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Elwood Keys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute Rodolfo Eleazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuan Ventura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tuan Ventura made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Rodolfo Eleazar sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the game, Elwood Keys cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Tuan Ventura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elwood Keys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tuan Ventura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lou Walker went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. Tuan Ventura was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Elwood Keys capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elwood Keys really showed his touch with that goal: 0-13. 82 minutes in the game, Lou Walker fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tuan Ventura having to interfere. Tuan Ventura came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto United's Rodolfo Eleazar. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Eleazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. If Rodolfo Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuan Ventura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodolfo Eleazar's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute, Rodolfo Eleazar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tuan Ventura. The goal made the score 0-16.
