When Chadwick Doherty came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Finnegan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chadwick Doherty couldn't finish the play. Trinidad Ayers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintin Browning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fishels FC's Trinidad Ayers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintin Browning in the 41st minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Finnegan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Baker came free, but Fabio Jöhl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quintin Browning to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Fishels FC got a freekick which was hit by Tyron Guertin. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Elliott Baker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fishels FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliott Baker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Jöhl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Chadwick Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Scot Hinkle helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 played minutes Fishels FC got a freekick which was hit by Scot Hinkle. After 88 minutes, Quintin Browning mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finnegan FC and the Fishels FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Finnegan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintin Browning to maneuver through the defense.
