A collision led to Finnegan FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Simon Deniger hit a great ball. After 43 minutes of play, Finnegan FC's Quintin Browning made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Mathieu was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Chadwick Doherty in the 48th minute of play forced Elma's goalkeeper Roger Mathieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quintin Browning to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Chadwick Doherty kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roger Mathieu. That made the score 0-5 in the 60 minute of play. With a little luck, Elma's Roger Mathieu got control of the ball when Chadwick Doherty tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francis Bourque struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Fabio Jöhl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elma. After 97 played minutes, Finnegan FC's Dieudonné Desjardins shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roger Mathieu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Finnegan FC reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Finnegan FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
