Spectators: 8418 (Terracing: 6314, Seating: 1936, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clay Alston started the match with the kick off. Yong Park succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 7th playminute. When Donald Flores came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Edmonton Elks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donald Flores couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Donnie Berger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 15 minutes, Granville Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blind Guardian FC and the Edmonton Elks players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Blind Guardian FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Granville Lara to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Donnie Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmonton Elks's supporters rose to their feet, but Donnie Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pasquale Livingston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Donnie Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Blind Guardian FC got a freekick which was hit by Lemuel Arroyo. With a little luck, Edmonton Elks's Renaud Britt got control of the ball when Lemuel Arroyo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Donnie Berger might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pasquale Livingston. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donnie Berger ran back to his position shaking his head. Pasquale Livingston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Flores in the 30th minute of the match. Renaud Britt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yong Park, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Elisha Swenson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Blind Guardian FC's zone, Donald Flores stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pasquale Livingston came out of the goal and Donald Flores tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pasquale Livingston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donnie Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Donnie Berger made the kick off in the second half. August Spence hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Donnie Berger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pasquale Livingston. Blind Guardian FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donnie Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Donnie Berger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pasquale Livingston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Blind Guardian FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yong Park to maneuver through the defense. Donald Flores in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pasquale Livingston, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Donnie Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pasquale Livingston having to interfere. Edmonton Elks's Donnie Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donnie Berger was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Edmonton Elks's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Blind Guardian FC's Pasquale Livingston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donnie Berger in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Edmonton Elks's goal looked a bit too open when Reginald McKee came free, but Renaud Britt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Donnie Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renaud Britt came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Blind Guardian FC's Clay Alston. But to his dismay, Clay Alston quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Edmonton Elks's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Blind Guardian FC had won, even though Edmonton Elks had held more of the ball.
