In the 2nd minute Maxime Holt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joesph Primeau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Messi FC defense, René Tétrault kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joesph Primeau. The Messi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joesph Primeau should have stopped the shot. Angelo Nugent made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garret Abel in the 7th minute. Joesph Primeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from René Tétrault, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Ermegildo Martxel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Angelo Nugent. The goal made the score 1-1. If Garret Abel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Messi FC's Joesph Primeau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eldridge Blank in the 21st minute of play. 34 minutes in the game Bud Crabtree did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eldridge Blank. In the 40th minute, Bud Crabtree hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clark Chevrette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Bidari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Joesph Primeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from René Tétrault, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Garret Abel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Messi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Happy FC the free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zachary Gour to make the kick off. Zachary Gour's late challenge caught a Messi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zachary Gour helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Happy FC's Zachary Gour got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Zachary Gour received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joesph Primeau came out and tried to block the shot, but Zachary Gour slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 57th minute. When Maxime Holt fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Happy FC's protests and gave Maxime Holt a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Messi FC's Clark Chevrette tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stefan Creech during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes Happy FC got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Creech. After a defensive mix-up in Happy FC's zone, Ermegildo Martxel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Nugent came out of the goal and Ermegildo Martxel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bud Crabtree hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Garret Abel was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. If Ermegildo Martxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th match minute, Happy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxime Holt to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Martxel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Nugent read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Happy FC's René Tétrault ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joesph Primeau. Joesph Primeau yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The supporters of Happy FC booed when Messi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Bidari didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Messi FC! The goalkeeper, Joesph Primeau, was totally fooled by Happy FC's Baudouin Larson, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Bidari in the 95th minute of play forced Happy FC's goalkeeper Angelo Nugent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Happy FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
