The supporters of Edmonton Saray booed when Sirdar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Thivierge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Meng Zhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léonce Roy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sadri Süleymanoğlu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Edmonton Saray's goal looked a bit too open when Nick McGraw came free, but Gregório Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Kerem Aktürkoglu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmonton Saray's supporters rose to their feet, but Kerem Aktürkoglu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Léonce Roy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léonce Roy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sadri Süleymanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Sirdar's Jonathon Samuel got a free kick in the 38th minute. During the 44th minute of the match Brian Thivierge completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Brian Thivierge a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Sirdar getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Brian Thivierge hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Kerem Aktürkoglu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Léonce Roy having to make a save. Wally Lazure hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Sirdar's goal looked a bit too open when Meng Zhan came free, but Léonce Roy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience held their breath when Colton Driver in the 78th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Gregório Castro's left hand side. Meng Zhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léonce Roy having to interfere. Nick McGraw's late challenge caught a Edmonton Saray's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nick McGraw helped the player get up and apologised. Nick McGraw hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Sirdar's Léonce Roy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meng Zhan in the 92nd minute of play. Léonce Roy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wally Lazure in the 94th minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Sirdar got a freekick which was hit by Daren Mathis. Sirdar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
