The Changsha FC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Changsha FC's André Pritchett looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ethan Velazquez made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Yann Cadieux sent off a good shot on target. But to his dismay, Baiardo Toyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in FC Toronto's zone, Jewell Masters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Osborn came out of the goal and Jewell Masters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Pritchett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Osborn having to interfere. Noel Osborn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Pritchett in the 27th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, André Pritchett put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Noel Osborn. FC Toronto's Noel Osborn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Pritchett in the 33rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, André Pritchett put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Noel Osborn. In the 42nd minute André Pritchett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Osborn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Changsha FC's André Pritchett got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Coleman Béland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. André Pritchett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Osborn having to interfere. A collision led to FC Toronto getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Myles Faubert hit a great ball. Jean Ramos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noel Osborn having to make a save. When André Pritchett came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Changsha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Pritchett couldn't finish the play. After 63 played minutes, FC Toronto's Alvaro Ivy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ethan Velazquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Toronto reached it. André Pritchett received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Noel Osborn came out and tried to block the shot, but André Pritchett slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 66th minute. Noel Osborn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jewell Masters, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Julian Michael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Osborn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Pritchett's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Ethan Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Buchanan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olen Singh was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 80th minute, Olen Singh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jewell Masters scored 1-7 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noel Osborn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, André Pritchett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ross Buchanan in the 89th minute of play forced Changsha FC's goalkeeper Ethan Velazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Changsha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ross Buchanan came free, but Ethan Velazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Michael hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
