The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thurman Dowdy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elmo Casey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harris Rollins in the 12th minute of the match. Elmo Casey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thurman Dowdy in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Low's Elmo Casey got control of the ball when Milford Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Milford Rosado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Elmo Casey made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Harris Rollins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toronto Bulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Harris Rollins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elmo Casey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elmo Casey was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Julius Plante. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Gérald Green put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Toronto Bulls booed when Low was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gérald Green didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Low's Elmo Casey got control of the ball when Julius Plante tried to sneak it across the goal line. 3-0 became the score in the 35th minute when Milford Rosado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Elmo Casey came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto Bulls's Thurman Dowdy. But to his dismay, Thurman Dowdy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute, Milford Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elmo Casey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Lafontaine in the 56th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Low defense, Thurman Dowdy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elmo Casey. The Low fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elmo Casey should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Low's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thurman Dowdy was slow to take the kick. During this time Toronto Bulls's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Low's goalie and right to Harris Rollins. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Low's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Loren Hatfield kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes Toronto Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Loren Hatfield. In the 72nd minute Thurman Dowdy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmo Casey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thurman Dowdy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elmo Casey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thurman Dowdy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes of play, Toronto Bulls's Thurman Dowdy made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elmo Casey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elmo Casey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milford Rosado in the 88th minute of the match. Elmo Casey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thurman Dowdy's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Harris Rollins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Elmo Casey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Toronto Bulls's Thurman Dowdy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elmo Casey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Noble Manning's late challenge caught a Toronto Bulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noble Manning helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Low got a freekick which was hit by Noble Manning. There was no doubt that Toronto Bulls were the better team. Toronto Bulls's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
