Emory Richmond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Cleveland having to interfere. Emory Richmond might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Cleveland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emory Richmond ran back to his position shaking his head. XENON FC's Edmond Cleveland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emory Richmond in the 5th minute of play. Edmond Cleveland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emory Richmond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Max Darby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Cleveland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emory Richmond blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmond Cleveland having to make a save. 23 minutes into the match, XENON FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emory Richmond came free, but Edmond Cleveland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Toronto FC's Max Darby in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye XENON FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute, Emory Richmond made a precise shot to the right of Edmond Cleveland. XENON FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Toronto FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rick Elder in the 35th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of XENON FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Toronto FC:s goal. After 41 played minutes XENON FC got a freekick which was hit by Rudy Romano. After a defensive mix-up in XENON FC's zone, Rick Elder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmond Cleveland came out of the goal and Rick Elder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toronto FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rick Elder in the 46th minute. The corner led Toronto FC's Rick Elder to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmond Cleveland despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

Edmond Cleveland came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto FC's Emory Richmond. But to his dismay, Emory Richmond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The audience was convinced that Emory Richmond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmond Cleveland was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Emory Richmond kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmond Cleveland. That made the score 0-4 in the 57 minute of play. In the 61st minute Max Darby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Cleveland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmond Cleveland came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto FC's Max Darby. But to his dismay, Max Darby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Emory Richmond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edmond Cleveland made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Emory Richmond sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jules Verne during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jules Verne kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Emory Richmond made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. XENON FC's Edmond Cleveland tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Emory Richmond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emory Richmond in the 76th minute of play forced XENON FC's goalkeeper Edmond Cleveland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes, Emory Richmond made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. XENON FC's Edmond Cleveland tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Emory Richmond blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmond Cleveland having to make a save. XENON FC's Edmond Cleveland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save XENON FC from getting a goal against them. The XENON FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Toronto FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
