Spectators: 8455 (Terracing: 6342, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Derek Weston kicked off to start the match. Derek Weston's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Myron Miranda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Carlos Arsenault showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jewel Hopper in the 4th minute of the match. Myron Miranda stood somewhat misplaced when Derek Weston came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 6 minute. 9 minutes into the match, River Plate Mtl's Derek Weston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Myron Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th match minute, Edgington AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Goodson to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Myron Miranda managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when River Plate Mtl's Derek Weston fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 18th minute Jewel Hopper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Arsenault saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Myron Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Barger in the 19th minute of play. Myron Miranda was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Derek Weston capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Derek Weston really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Myron Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Derek Weston in the 24th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Teodoro Barger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Myron Miranda. That made the score 3-0 in the 26 minute of play. Domingo Queen kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Edgington AFC's goalkeeper Myron Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodoro Barger. Derek Weston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ira Ransom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Myron Miranda having to interfere. Myron Miranda was a little too slow when Derek Weston got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 4-0. Jewel Fontaine hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Edgington AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leroy Dalton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Edgington AFC defense, Derek Weston kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Myron Miranda. The Edgington AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Myron Miranda should have stopped the shot. Fernando Strong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Olen McMullen made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Derek Weston sped through Edgington AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Myron Miranda. 55 minutes into the game, Adam Newell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edgington AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate Mtl the free kick. After 56 played minutes Edgington AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adam Newell. In the 59th minute, Fernando Strong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Myron Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 65th minute, Derek Weston made a precise shot to the right of Myron Miranda. Edgington AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Derek Weston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the game, River Plate Mtl's Derek Weston nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Myron Miranda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Edgington AFC's Myron Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ira Ransom in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Teodoro Barger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Myron Miranda. Edgington AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Barger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. If Derek Weston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Barger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Myron Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Derek Weston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Derek Weston in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Myron Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, River Plate Mtl's Carlos Arsenault got control of the ball when Ahmad Benson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Myron Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leroy Dalton in the 94th minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Derek Weston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate Mtl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derek Weston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that River Plate Mtl were the better team. River Plate Mtl's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
