After having played for 3 minutes, Max Darby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Darby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emory Richmond was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 4th minute. Toronto FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 5th minute, James Olsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emory Richmond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emory Richmond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 12 minutes, Emory Richmond made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Malonton FC's Urbain Sorenson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Malonton FC's Chris Sutton got a free kick in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Emory Richmond kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Urbain Sorenson. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emory Richmond in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urbain Sorenson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emory Richmond struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Urbain Sorenson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto FC. In the 27th match minute, Toronto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubén-Darío Insúa to maneuver through the defense. Malonton FC's Urbain Sorenson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Malonton FC from getting a goal against them. If Emory Richmond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emory Richmond got free with Urbain Sorenson in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chris Sutton made in the 37th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eloy Drew immediately put the ball in play. 39 minutes into the match, Emory Richmond had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urbain Sorenson. Malonton FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emory Richmond was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The audience was convinced that Emory Richmond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urbain Sorenson was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Rubén-Darío Insúa kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emory Richmond was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Malonton FC's zone, Emory Richmond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urbain Sorenson came out of the goal and Emory Richmond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute Emory Richmond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbain Sorenson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55thth minute of the game Emory Richmond who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malonton FC's Urbain Sorenson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chris Sutton made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Toronto FC's Steevy Gély. In the 58th minute, Emory Richmond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toronto FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 61st minute Emory Richmond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbain Sorenson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Malonton FC defense, Emory Richmond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbain Sorenson. The Malonton FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbain Sorenson should have stopped the shot. Bryon Russ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Olsen in the 70th minute of play. Emory Richmond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Urbain Sorenson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emory Richmond, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emory Richmond in the 74th minute of play forced Malonton FC's goalkeeper Urbain Sorenson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbain Sorenson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emory Richmond, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Eloy Drew kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Emory Richmond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Malonton FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Chris Sutton hit a great ball. The Toronto FC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Toronto FC's Emory Richmond looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emory Richmond blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urbain Sorenson having to make a save. The Toronto FC fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Toronto FC's Emory Richmond looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 11-0 when Emory Richmond sped through Malonton FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Urbain Sorenson. There was no doubt that Toronto FC were the better team. Toronto FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
