The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Edgington AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olen McMullen to maneuver through the defense. Joesph Rowland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jules Vadeboncoeur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgington AFC's Myron Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allen Krause in the 10th minute of play. Steven Worthington charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Steven Worthington the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Steven Worthington hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute of the match Duncan Pelland sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joesph Rowland skillfully saved the ball. 16 minutes in the game, Carmelo Timmons dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Edgington AFC's Myron Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Timmons in the 19th minute of play. Boniface Avila received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Myron Miranda came out and tried to block the shot, but Boniface Avila slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. Jules Vadeboncoeur hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Chamberlain getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Allen Krause hit a great ball. Carmelo Timmons might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Myron Miranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carmelo Timmons ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgington AFC's Myron Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boniface Avila in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes in the game, Carmelo Timmons dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Allen Krause had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boniface Avila succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 45th playminute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmelo Timmons to make the kick off. Domingo Queen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joesph Rowland. Chamberlain's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Edgington AFC's zone, Carmelo Timmons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Myron Miranda came out of the goal and Carmelo Timmons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Boniface Avila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Domingo Queen sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Joesph Rowland threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Domingo Queen this time. The supporters of Edgington AFC booed when Chamberlain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerold Goddard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olen McMullen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joesph Rowland having to interfere. Myron Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Timmons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Chamberlain got a freekick which was hit by Hayden Powell. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barthélémy Gervais during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chamberlain booed when Edgington AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barthélémy Gervais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Timmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Myron Miranda having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Edgington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Allen Krause came free, but Myron Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmelo Timmons blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Myron Miranda having to make a save. Olen McMullen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Joesph Rowland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmelo Timmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Myron Miranda having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Timmons in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Myron Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Chamberlain getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Steven Worthington hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chamberlain had played much better football throughout.
